Connecting towns, trails, and the public landscapes that define them.

Towns to Trails is a vision for connecting communities in the Eastern and Central High Sierra through a network of existing soft surface roads, trails, public lands, and open spaces.

From mountain communities to wide-open high desert, Towns to Trails highlights landscapes and public lands through existing infrastructure that connects communities across the region.

Towns to Trails uses existing roads and trails to envision a more connected future while recognizing the need for thoughtful future planning, maintenance, conservation, stewardship, and ongoing community engagement.
